  Typical big box mentality. You should want to buy what they have. They do not need to carry what you want. They do frequently have good prices on what they do have.

  I came in tonight to buy a new pair of running shoes. My last few pairs were also purchased from Dick's as I have always been happy with their selection, and service. This location clearly doesn't grasp the concept of customer interaction. I stood in the aisles, only to be ignored. I put the shoes back on the shelf to head out of the store. On my way out, I walked by half a dozen associates, who were more interested in their personal conversations than even dropping a friendly "hello". The "manager" (guessing...he was dressed up a little more than the rest) working the front desk let me walk by without saying a word. Clearly, you can see where the associates learn their accepted behavior.
